PopCorners‘ Flex protein crisps are basically low calorie, protein packed, chips. The ones I am reviewing are their barbecue flavored version. They also have a buffalo variety, which I’ve had, but I’m just reviewing the barbecue one. Why? Because they are delicious and I am addicted to them and so I have to shout out how awesome they are here.
These ‘crisps’ are probably perfect for what they are. They are crispy and crunchy. They do get stale if you leave them open too long, though, but fresh they are just as the name suggests: Crispy. They are super light too. You don’t feel like the chips are a big part of the meal—and they aren’t as they’re quite low in calories. 24 crisps for 90 calories!
Low in calories…but not low in flavor and tastiness at all! The barbecue is strong enough to be addicting but it is not overpowering. It is not spicy to my taste, either. The flavor is coated on each chip so you will get some of it on your hands…which you will probably lick off, let’s be honest.
Due to their light nature and balanced flavor, you can easily go through a serving or more of these PopCorners’ Flex crisps without issue or without accompaniment. But they are also a great supplement to a meal. I eat them sometimes with guac or egg salad—they pair well with it. But I eat them essentially alone too. Either way—delicious!
Anyway, as I said, these PopCorners’ Flex crisps are simply fantastic. Recommend 100% and will continue to consume them.
