This is a sort of blast from the past review! Over five years ago did I last review an Askinosie product. My first review of their product was of their Askinosie’s Tanzania Dark Chocolate bar and then I did their Licorice chocolate bar. Wow! And now I’m reviewing their Intelligentsia collaboration: a dark chocolate bar with Coffee. A common pairing, but this level of well…boutique-ness? My interest was piqued.

The end result of the marriage between the dark chocolate and the Intelligentsia coffee is a smooth textured bar with an extremely bitter flavor. This is powerful stuff. If you want a strong hit of bitter chocolate tinged with coffee flavor…look no further. It hits hard with the bitter edges of both chocolate and coffee and if that’s what you want, this Askinosie chocolate excels.
