Another apple from New Zealand, the Eve apple is rich red variety. The dark, velvety quality of the skin is appealing. It feels almost devilish. Something a villain would munch on.

As for the Eve apple’s munching quality, the flesh is crisp beyond belief. The moment I bit down and an audible crunch rang through the air as I tore off a chunk of flesh, I thought ‘4.5’ for my rating of its texture. I’m keeping that number. The texture is just amazing. The Eve apple is not that juicy, however, but in this context that made perfect sense and worked out well.

The flavor is not as great as the texture, but it is quite tasty. Sweet and delicate.

The Eve apple is a crunchy delight, definitely above average.
