This is not a product I would normally buy. However, I was on antibiotics so I wanted to get something probiotic. Then when looking at Imperfect Foods I see this vegan, cashewmilk yogurt from Forager and…was intrigued and also it fit the bill. Not real dairy but with probiotics. Worked for me.
But…did it work for me? Ugh. Not…really. It’s very…strong. Sort of super tangy/edgy. Like a…fermented-ish quality? The strawberry definitely comes out though in taste and smell, but the strange quality mingled with it makes it very overpowering in a non-quite tasty way. It’s not disgusting, but…I don’t like it.
As for texture…I’m drinking it. That’s right, it can be drunk and in my opinion that’s more ideal for it. Can’t imagine using a spoon with it. It’s very…thin. But, anyway, I’m drinking it in very small qualities as it’s very powerful.
Also it hasn’t been sitting that well for me, stomach-wise, but that might be the probiotics doing their work or attempting to. It’s thin but it sits heavy. Maybe it’ll work in time.
So…do I recommend this…vegan yogurt. I guess: you’ll know when you think you ought to need it and it may not be something you want. But it might get the job done if the goal is having something with probiotics. So…not really on a general recommendation, it doesn’t taste that good to me haha but I didn’t get it for flavor.
