This Gindo’s hot sauce, the ‘Blood Orange Ghost’, stands out with its integration of fruit. Based on the ingredient list, it has, for example: pineapple, mango, orange, and more blended with ghost pepper and other spicy peppers. It was a very interesting combination that I was eager to try.
I used it on pasta and it added a bright spicy flavor. Not super spicy—it was well balanced. It added a nice light, sometimes sweet, crisp flavor without being overpoweringly spicy at all times. It definitely has a kick if used too liberally, but even then it’s not that bad. I really liked it.
The Blood Orange Ghost feels bright and zesty for spring so it feels quite apt right now. It’s fun. I only tried it with pasta, but it’d probably work well in other contexts. And so I definitely recommend this interesting and tasty fruity hot sauce!
