I received Gindo’s Ghost of Christmas 6th Annual Hot Sauce box set as a gift. They are a local (to me) hot sauce business, though, this was the first time I ever had a Gindo’s product. I was super excited to try the sauces after reading about them and their products. I started in chronological order—as in, I started with the Gindo’s Ghost of Christmas Past Hot Sauce. It is a yellow, thin sauce. Don’t let that fool you.
This is a HOT SAUCE. HOT! HOT! Very hot.
Flavor wise, though, it’s not that overpowering (I mean, beyond the spicy aspect). Yes, it is spicy, but it blends well and feels like a nice, extremely spicy overlay onto the food. It also has this sort of fruity aspect to it. It’s good stuff, very versatile. Most notably, I mixed it with pasta, soup, and hummus. All were great combos.
Needless to say, I really enjoyed this Ghost of Christmas Past hot sauce from Gindo’s and already have finished the bottle. That may have been because it doesn’t have like a dropper so it just pours out and…may have poured out a lot by ‘accident’ on various occasions. For spice nuts like me, this is not a problem. This may be a hazard for others.
Anyway, I recommend this hot sauce 100%. I liked it so much that I subscribed to their monthly hot sauce club with this being the only thing I tried at that moment. Expect more hot sauce from Gindo’s reviews in the future!
