The Greening apple…is green. I don’t know the exact variety of Greening these apples were. There are many, apparently (as one can see by searching on Orange Pippin). These belong to one of them.

This unknown type of Greening apple has pure white flesh and a good crunch. It is not that tart or sweet—pretty mild, all things considered. But it has an airy, light flavor to it that is tasty despite not having that ‘punch’. Not everything needs to be overbearing and intense to be enjoyable. This is good while being understated.

Now, I can’t recommend the exact variety of Greening due to my ignorance, but I recommend Greenings in general if any of them are mildly like these!
