I had previously reviewed Miyoko’s Cultured Vegan Butter made with cashew and coconut oil. It was really good and we’ve gotten more of it since trying it. Then we recently tried Miyoko’s Oat Milk vegan butter alternative. It comes in a tub instead of a block and is less expensive for more butter.
The texture feels more supple than the cashew/coconut oil block. It doesn’t taste as luscious and salty, though. It melts very quickly on bread and out of the fridge. I don’t have a good picture of it on bread as I was experimenting with my new phone camera and the pictures that I took came out blurry.
It’s still good vegan butter, just not as good as the other cultured vegan butter from Miyoko’s. I would say that this butter would be more apt as a normal butter replacement and the other as a splurge/luxury/special purchase, due to the price difference.
