The Regent apple is interesting to me. It looks normal. Red skin, white flesh, sort of crunchy and soft. Sounds straightforward, right?

However, where things get interesting is the flavor. The Regent’s flavor is sweet and vaguely…tropical. I want to say guava-like for lack of a better comparison. I was kind of confused by its flavor profile because I was expecting something more tart/fall apple like than tropical.

But my expectations for its flavor being subverted is not a bad thing because the Regent apple is tasty. I’d like to have more Regent apples again to understand its flavor more—and just enjoy it. So that’s a recommend!
