Okay, yes, in my White Symphony tea review, I said that I had no need to try the White Peony tea since the White Symphony tea was so good. But I did anyway.
…And I pretty much feel the same after trying it.
The White Peony Tea, even more so than the White Symphony Tea, looks like yard waste somehow. It’s a bunch of weird leaves, sticks, and oddly shaped foliage pieces. This is not surprising considering how the White Symphony tea, as fully detailed by the Adagio listing, is just a tweaked version of the White Peony.
Unfortunately, coming from the White Symphony, the White Peony pales in comparison. It doesn’t have as much of a flavor as the White Symphony—I barely detected any flavor (granted, my senses could be dulled due to the cold/weather so take that with some salt). The White Peony feels lesser than it in general so I don’t see myself ever picking the Peony over the Symphony.
So my gut reaction about the White Peony was accurate. Stick with the White Symphony. It’s a strong improvement over the White Peony tea.
